The Default Lockscreen in Windows Mobile 6.5.x has the Lock Slider at the Top. This makes it very difficult to reach the top with 1 hand and unlock the device.
Use this simple cab to move the Lockscreen Slider to the Bottom. Note that this is tested only on the HTC HD2. For any other device use at your own risk.

This is how your Lockscreen will look like after this patch :

Microsoft’s upcoming event at Mobile World Conference (MWC) is the most talked about subject on the Internet these days. Rumors are far spread about Microsoft announcing the next generation of its popular Windows Mobile operating system.
Windows Mobile 7 is awaited by bated breath by everyone. But recent rumors also suggest a Zune Phone in the making and that it will be announced at MWC.
According to a Spanish blog MuyComputer, a Zune Phone launch is 100% confirmed. The Phone will use Tegra Processor which is developed by nVidia, a 480 x 272 screen, HDMI video out, and weighs around 70 grams.
It will most probably be a Zune with just a Phone application with no major Hardware or Cosmetic changes. It will run Windows Mobile 7.
So there are chances that along with Windows Mobile 7 we will see a new Zune Phone too.
Keep checking back for more updates on Zune Phone and Windows Mobile 7!

The major difference between Mobile Operating Systems like iPhone OS and Windows Mobile is that the latter is totally open to the Developers. Being this open, give them the ability to create and do some amazing things with their devices.
Dual Booting Operating Systems was always considered a far fetched idea when it came to Mobile Devices. But it is pretty much possible now with Android being hacked onto a lot of devices due to its vast compatibility.
As usual the Developers at XDA Forums are always up to something and this time they have created a very simple and easy to use Dual Boot Solution to Dual Boot between Windows Mobile and Android on your Windows Phone!
Currently this tool is limited to VGA devices (WVGA planned soon), especially tested on the Diamond and Touch Pro.
If you are wondering from where Android boots, then that choice is open for you. You can either boot Android off Internal Memory or Memory Card. Although the former is always preferred, the latter will provide a slightly quicker response.

Resco Explorer Suite is a highly reputed and very popular Suite of applications for Windows Mobile. They provide an excellent File Explorer and Reg Editor.
Resco Explorer 2010 is their latest iteration, it is made keeping in mind the flow of current generation Windows Phone which are slowly adopting full finger functionality and leaving the age old stylus based input behind. This version is highly optimized for Finger/Touch based input.
Resco was always known for its File Mangers, but now they’ve also added a couple of other features such as Thumbnail View Mode and Direct Photo upload to Flickr or Picasa album! All these features combined into a single software which is available at such a rate which is almost a steal!
New features in Explorer 2010
- Image Upload to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Picasa, MySpace and Photobucket — the program is now able to upload image files to the most popular social networks including the largest web image database — Flickr.
- Thumbnails View Mode — The new view mode displays previews of images. It becomes handy (improves the navigation) while seeking in folders with many image files.
- Interaction with Resco Photo Manager — The new Explorer can utilize tools and strengths of Resco Photo Manager. If users have both of these programs installed on a device, they will sense that the thumbnail loading is faster as well as the fact that it supports all the photo manager image types.
- Totally Customizable Today Plug-in — Today plug-in gets new shape and becomes totally customizable — add or remove phone tools, applications or documents. The eventual size of the plug-in, therefore, depends only on your choices.

Most of you Windows Phone users might already be aware that Windows Mobile comes with a built in Remote Desktop application support. Although I personally feel its no where close to the intuitiveness and Ease of use some of the Remote Desktop applications on the iPhone but it does the job.
The foremost problem is setting is up. Its not as easy to Setup if you want to Control your PC from the Internet.
Follow this nice Guide written over at XDA to setup Remote Desktop correctly between your Windows Phone and Windows 7 based PC.

A few days back we had posted about Next-Gen Windows Mobile Devices, adding to that list is the HTC HD3.
There are supposedly few leaks and the Specifications of HD3 are as follows.

These specs seem pretty much unbelievable just like LG Apollo’s. But we would certainly wish these are true. Although I don’t know how a 720p Resolution for a LCD screen so small would even make any difference.
Lets wait and watch what happens.

Just yesterday, we’d written about the US version of HTC HD2 having higher capacity RAM/ROM. Well now, according to some folks over XDA Chinese forums, even the current HD2’s seem to have 576Mb RAM.
They had informed even before yesterdays news that their HD2’s were reporting 576Mb of RAM after flashing an unreleased Radio Rom.
There is a possibily of this being true as the pre-release ROMs too reported just 320Mb RAM for the HD2. This could just be a current ROM limitation and theres a chance that the HD2 hardware itself has 576Mb RAM from the start.
Check out a Video one of the member over at Chinese XDA posted.

The official specs for the US T-Mobile version of HTC HD2 have been released and it will have much higher ROM Memory and an increased RAM compared to European/Asian HD2’s.
This is surely gonna make quite a lot of current HD2 Owners (including me) annoyed! The reason for being annoyed does not exist as of today, but the Official Windows Mobile 7 Chassis 1 requirements specify that the Device should have atleast 1Gb of ROM and 512Mb of RAM, which now this TMobile HD2 completely satisfies leaving existing HD2 owners angry.
Here’s whats differs from the current HD2’s :
