Microsoft’s next update codenamed ‘NoDo’ is yet to be released but that doesn’t bother people from finding out whats next!

The next major Windows Phone 7 release has been codenamed Mango and which is said to be the 1st major upgrade that WP7 will receive.

The rumored updated featureset include:

IE Mobile 9 with full HTML 5 Support

Multitasking Support for 3rd Party Apps

Integration of Twitter directly into the People’s Hub (just like Facebook)

While the NoDo update is set for an early March release, the Mango update will take a while and is expected to get released around September.

Microsoft does seem slow in delivery updates as compared to other major players. Lets just hope that the recent Nokia-Microsoft alliance expedites the development process and leads to Microsoft releasing more frequent updates!

There were some strong rumors going around that Windows Phone 7 will be launched on 7th Feb. But now its past that and there’s still no official word from Microsoft about the update.

Now according to some European carriers its been come to known that the NoDo update won’t be released until March. Microsoft is however expected to confirm officially the release date for the next update at the upcoming Mobile World Congress on 14th Feb.

If multiple sources are to be believed the new release date for the next update is rumored to be March 8th. Its been said that due to a last minute change, Microsoft needed to re-test the update pushing its release back by 2-3 weeks.

WPCentral has news that an Official Samsung spokesperson has confirmed the release to be around early March.

The question asked directly to Samsung was:

Q: When will the update for Windows 7 Phone?

Samsung A: Probably early March, we will confirm at the Mobile World Congress in mid-February.

All we can do now is that hope that the wait was worth it and Microsoft adds some exciting new features!

It’s been quite a while since Microsoft released any updates to Windows Phone 7. WP7 at this moment lacks very basic features which is causing it to lag behind other Mobile OS like Android or iOS.

Microsoft had promised Copy-Paste in this upcoming update. According to several French Sites, the next update will be launched worldwide on February 7th, 2011.

Along with the above mentioned Copy-Paste this update will also bring performance improvements in terms of Application Resuming and Starting up of Applications.

This update has already reached RTM stage and has been codenamed ‘NoDo’. There’s a pretty high chance of this rumor being true since just a week later on Feb 14, Steve Ballmer is going to present a keynote on WP7 at the Mobile World Congress.

Microsoft’s upcoming event at Mobile World Conference (MWC) is the most talked about subject on the Internet these days. Rumors are far spread about Microsoft announcing the next generation of its popular Windows Mobile operating system.

Windows Mobile 7 is awaited by bated breath by everyone. But recent rumors also suggest a Zune Phone in the making and that it will be announced at MWC.

According to a Spanish blog MuyComputer, a Zune Phone launch is 100% confirmed. The Phone will use Tegra Processor which is developed by nVidia, a 480 x 272 screen, HDMI video out, and weighs around 70 grams.

It will most probably be a Zune with just a Phone application with no major Hardware or Cosmetic changes. It will run Windows Mobile 7.

So there are chances that along with Windows Mobile 7 we will see a new Zune Phone too.

Keep checking back for more updates on Zune Phone and Windows Mobile 7!

Just yesterday, we’d written about the US version of HTC HD2 having higher capacity RAM/ROM. Well now, according to some folks over XDA Chinese forums, even the current HD2′s seem to have 576Mb RAM.

They had informed even before yesterdays news that their HD2′s were reporting 576Mb of RAM after flashing an unreleased Radio Rom.

There is a possibily of this being true as the pre-release ROMs too reported just 320Mb RAM for the HD2. This could just be a current ROM limitation and theres a chance that the HD2 hardware itself has 576Mb RAM from the start.

Check out a Video one of the member over at Chinese XDA posted.
